The Greater Cleveland Alumni Chapter hosts networking and alumni events for more than 25,000 Kent State alumni living in the Cleveland area. From fun gatherings at Cleveland hot spots to participating in Alumni Day of Service, there is always something going on in Cleveland to connect you to fellow Flashes and Â鶹´«Ã½.
We caught up with the Greater Cleveland Alumni Chapter President, Anna Bailey, ‘11, to hear about the amazing things the chapter is doing.
What’s an interesting fact about your chapter?
We are lucky there are many fun ways to get together with KSU alumni in Cleveland. We have toured the Hopkins Airport air traffic control tower, sampled gourmet donuts at Brewnuts and visited A Christmas Story House. We often get together for food and drinks after the main event, too.
Currently, we are planning the Great Lakes Beer School at a date TBD. Our next event, co-hosted with the Lake County Alumni Chapter, is a tour of the Cleveland History Center. Register for the April 13 event.
What are some chapter traditions?
Volunteer service is important to us. We are participating in the alumni association’s annual Alumni Day of Service on April 27. Register by April 11 to join us as we beautify the Great Greenways. #FlashesGiveBack
How can alumni, friends and family become involved?
The best way to become involved is to attend an event or meeting. We would love to see you! Contact chapter president Anna Bailey, ’11, and visit our to learn more about upcoming activities.
Any additional information about your chapter you would like to share?
We would love to have all alumni in the area attend events and provide feedback as to how the chapter can involve and support them. We welcome ideas about the types of events and speakers and thoughts about making us an even stronger chapter. To share your ideas, email Anna Bailey, ’11, at annaebailey6@gmail.com or the alumni association at alumni@kent.edu.
