Their Story
We met at Ray’s via a mutual friend in 1989. We began dating within the month. We both graduated from Kent main campus with degrees in Education. I am in my 30th year as a 4th grade teacher. Brad is in his 29th year as a high school Social Studies teacher. We were married in October of 1993, 4 1/2 years after we met. . We have 2 children. Zack, 24, who is a recent graduate of Ohio University, and Bailey, 21, who is a Junior at Kent State! They were both raised taking trips to Kent each year for Homecoming, alumni activities, football or basketball games, or just because! We are ALWAYS up for a trip to Ray’s! We have told our stories of our time at Kent State to many people over the years. We love Kent and wouldn’t trade our experiences there for the world! We go back several times a year and are always up for the new things that Kent has to offer.
How Stephen and Montana Remain Connected to Kent State as alumni
As alumni we try to go back for alumni sponsored events whenever we can. As of now, we are not very active in the alumni association, however that will change as we retire from teaching and have more time on our hands!
