Your Story
Tom and I went to Jr. High and High School together in Kent, but didn't date. He had graduated from Miami and was serving in the Navy when we started dating. We dated cross-country for 3 years.
The Proposal and Marriage
He came home at Christmas and proposed to me at the pond behind Engleman Hall, because he knew it was my favorite spot on campus.
How do you and your spouse stay connected to Kent State as alumni?
I am a member of the alumni association, and we made a donation for the new Visual Arts Building. Our son is a freshman at KSU. After attending the legacy brunch, he took the picture of us celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, by "kissing on the K".
