Â鶹´«Ã½ at Ashtabula was named the Service Business Growth and Innovation Award recipient at the 2017 Best of Ashtabula County banquet Tuesday night, Sept. 19, at SPIRE Institute. The Service Business Growth and Innovation Award honors a service business or organization in Ashtabula County that excels through innovation and excellence in providing its services to the community members that walk through their doors.
"We have a group of very dedicated faculty and staff on the campus, this award is really a recognition of them and all their hard work," said Dean Susan J. Stocker, who accepted the award. "They really work as a team to support our students."
Kent State Ashtabula's recognition came following the recent expansions and renovations to the campus- including the Robert S. Morrison Hall, the student commons and new main entrance - while keeping one of the lowest tuitions in the state, providing the opportunity to affordable a high-quality college education to area residents.
The annual event, coordinated and hosted by Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County, is in its 29th year and honors local businesses and operators for economic and community development successes. Other finalists for the Service Business Growth and Innovation Award were Nassief Auto and Erie Bank.
