Radiology
The nationally accredited Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology degree program teaches students how to perform medical imaging procedures. Medical imaging is a branch of health care delivery that utilizes x-rays and other energy forms to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Through a blend of classroom education at the university and clinical education at a hospital, students learn radiographic equipment operation, patient positioning and procedures, radiation safety and methods of patient care.
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY AT KENT STATE ASHTABULA
Graduates may also choose to gain additional education in other areas of medical imaging to become multi-skilled practitioners. Â鶹´«Ã½ also offers a (BRIT) degree that offers concentrations in Computed Tomography (CT), Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Radiation Therapy (RTH).

This program is designed to prepare students to sit for applicable licensure in Ohio. If you plan to pursue licensure in a state other than Ohio, please review state educational requirements for licensure and contact information for state licensing boards at Kent State's website for professional licensure disclosure.
ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION
Students interested in learning more about the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology should plan to attend an Information Session. Information Sessions are held at the Ashtabula Campus in the Robert S. Morrison Hall and via Teams.

THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE RADIOLOGY PROGRAM HAS A TWO-STEP APPLICATION PROCESS:
- Apply online to Â鶹´«Ã½. Select the Ashtabula campus and choose the Radiologic Technology major.
- Once you have met the requirements to enter the Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology, submit an application. Application must be received by Feb. 1.
Note: Admission into the professional radiologic technology sequence is highly competitive and is not guaranteed.
