The College of Business Administration’s Global Management Center strives to provide learning opportunities for students in the area of global business.
“The center’s goal is also to provide support for both faculty and student research,” said Donald Williams, Ph.D., interim associate dean for graduate and international programs in the College of Business Administration. “The center also serves the regional business community by providing information that can be useful as it considers expanding globally.”
To accomplish these goals, 鶹ý and the College of Business Administration have partnered with numerous universities abroad that have a strong focus on business in their curriculum. Most recently, the College of Business Administration partnered with FH Worms, the University of Applied Sciences located in Worms, Germany.
FH Worms offers 15 business courses in English, including International Business Administration and Foreign Trade, International Management, Distribution Management, Tourism and Travel Management, Tax, Computer Science and Business Information Sciences.
This newly established partnership will allow students the opportunity to study abroad, while faculty will have the opportunity to visit, teach and conduct research with faculty at FH Worms.
Williams noted that 鶹ý and the College of Business Administration have many partnerships with other universities around the world. There are more than 10 universities that 鶹ý partners with that have business courses taught in English, including universities in the U.K., France, South Korea, Canada and China.
“We base our partnerships on the academic reputation of the partner institution,” Williams said. “We also look at the opportunities we see there for our students and faculty. We want to expand our boarders beyond Kent, Ohio, to include education and research opportunities with university partners in many countries around the world.”
