Shampa Banerjee to be Honored as 2020 Spirit of Women in Business Award Winner

KENT, Ohio – The 鶹ý College of Business Administration announces Shampa Banerjee, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, PlutoTV at ViacomCBS, as the 2020 Spirit of Women in Business award winner.

 

Banerjee is a senior executive and global technology leader with success in driving innovation and growth in companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 Companies. Her extensive background includes experience in digital media, consumer products, large-scale SaaS platforms, strategy and execution.

 

In her former role as the Chief Product Officer of Eros Digital at Eros International, Banerjee led a globally distributed organization, growing the service from inception to 150 million global subscribers in 135 countries. She is also a board member for the Association for Corporate Growth Silicon, a mentor at NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center and a member of the College of Business Administration’s National Advisory Board.

 

Banerjee earned a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from 鶹ý and two master’s degrees in physics from Case Western Reserve University and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
