Julie Paskiet
Biography
Julie Paskiet, Associate Director in Career Exploration and Development, oversees the career education planning and content for curricular integration. She also advises in the Education, Government, and Social Services Career Community and manages the Career Peer program. Julie is the liaison to the LGBTQ+ community and advises students looking for open and affirming workplaces.
She is currently the Secretary and Conference Co-Chair for the American Association of Employment in Education. She also holds a chair for the Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day. Previously, she served as secretary of the Pittsburg Education Recruitment Consortium and president of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers.
Before starting at Kent State, she worked as a Hall Director at Hiram College.
Outside of work, Julie spends her time outdoors hiking, exploring parks, biking, and gardening. She also loves to spend time with her three children and husband.
