Kent State’s Columbiana County campuses hosted orientation sessions on each of the two campuses to help welcome new and transfer students for the 2017-18 academic year.
Destination Kent State, or DKS, was a day-long event for students, parents and family members to learn the ins and outs of being a college student at Kent State Salem and Kent State East Liverpool. Faculty, staff and administrators led information sessions to help explain topics such as financial aid, scholarships, technical support, time management, library resources, study techniques and learning support services.
At the end of each DKS day, the students participated in a scavenger hunt on each campus that helped them find key locations and resources available to them.
