Biography
Olivia Krise is a faculty member for the American Sign Language/English Interpreting program. She is an alumna of Kent State receiving her B.S. in both Deaf Education and Educational Interpreting, and her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Intervention. Olivia comes to us from Student Affairs working with Student Accessibility Services as an ASL Staff Interpreter/Coordinator. She has held a National Interpreter Certification-Advanced since 2009 working in Post-Secondary and Video Relay settings. More recently, Olivia worked in the medical field as a staff interpreter with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Olivia is passionate about teaching and mentoring students to become agents of change working as interpreters within the Deaf community.
