Program Details:
- Courses that are completely online with the benefit of local Kent State faculty for support
- Work in a cohort with other teachers from Buckeye
- All coursework will be completed within one year

2. Review the Career-Based Intervention Endorsement Prep Admission Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.000 scale
- A lower GPA may be considered for conditional admission. Please contact Dr. Davison Mupinga at dmupinga@kent.edu to be considered.
- Official transcript(s) from each institution in which a degree was earned (this includes associate, bachelor, masters, etc.). KSU transcripts can be accessed internally.
- Evidence of two years of successful teaching under a current professional, permanent, resident educator or five-year career-technical teaching license from the State of Ohio
- Evidence of one year of full-time work experience outside of education
3. Apply to the Career-Based Intervention Endorsement Prep Program:
Career-Based Intervention Endorsement Prep Licensure Requirements:
- While you are completing the CBI course, a supplemental license may be issued. You need to apply using the CTE37:INITIAL and will need to check off, "Initial 1-Year Supplemental CTWD License or Endorsement". It is only after the one-year supplemental license, and completion of the CBI coursework, that you will be able to advance the supplemental to a five-year license.
- Must hold a valid (unexpired) resident educator or 5-year professional State of Ohio teaching license, have 2 full years of successful teaching experience, and one year of full time work experience outside of education.
