The universitywide climate survey is designed to collect feedback to help create and maintain a healthy, inclusive university that respects individual abilities, differences, needs and potentials. You now have until Friday, April 8, to take the survey.
The information collected from the survey will be used as an important part of the university’s strategic initiatives so it is important to hear from as many individuals as possible.
Add Your Voice!
- Take a few minutes today to complete the survey at www.kent.edu/voices.
- Encourage your colleagues and students to add their voice as well because every voice counts! It is particularly important to hear from more students to get a representative sample.
- Your participation is confidential. The study is being conducted by an external consultant, , which has conducted more than 130 similar studies at institutions nationwide. See frequently asked questions about topics such as respondent confidentiality and data protection.
- As a thank-you gift for completing the survey, faculty and staff have the opportunity to win a weekend getaway if they opt to enter the drawings. Students can earn 500 FLASHperks and can enter to win a $250 Amazon or Kent State Bookstore gift card, and floor tickets to see rapper Wiz Khalifa perform at Kent State’s FlashFest on April 21.
Why Your Voice Counts
This climate survey offers you the opportunity to describe your personal experiences and observations, and offer suggestions for change to help enhance the campus climate at Kent State.
“We need all members of our Kent State community to take the survey in order to get valid, useable information about what it is like to be faculty, staff or a student at Kent State,” says Kathryn Wilson, Ph.D., professor of economics in the College of Business Administration and co-chair of the Climate Survey Steering Committee.
“We fervently believe that hearing the experiences of our faculty, staff and students will allow us to provide a better environment for learning, working and living,” says Shay Little, Ph.D., interim vice president for student affairs and co-chair of the Climate Survey Steering Committee.
