Let’s Get Moving – Check out our Move Communities and Campus Maps

Are you looking for easy opportunities to work in some physical activity during the workday? Perhaps you are looking for an accessible lunchtime route to bike, run or roller skate. Maybe you already belong to an exercise group and would like to add members.

Whatever your situation, we have just the thing: 鶹ý’s Move Communities and Maps resource page. On this page, you will find individuals and small groups of employees that meet regularly to enjoy some physical activity. This resourceful site provides a unique opportunity for members of the Kent State community to create and share their own “move” communities. To get us started, we have included a printable map containing seven routes ranging from a quarter-mile course to a three-mile course, perfect for a before- or after-work jog or lunchtime stroll. Employees also can print a and outline a path to share with others.  We also are adding Regional Campus communities and maps as we receive them. Check out 鶹ý at Ashtabula’s “On the Move” group that meets each Friday!

To have your group information or favorite map added to this resource page, email wellness@kent.edu and we will be sure to update the page. And, for all employees, don’t forget you have free Fridays at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, including Group X classes. Just bring your FLASHcard I.D. for admittance and get on the move!

The Move Communities and Maps resource page was created by the Division of Human Resources to support the On the Move Challenge and the healthy campus initiative. If you have questions, you may contact Kim Hauge at 330-672-7505 or wellness@kent.edu
