I am a resident communication faculty who teaches a variety of upper- and lower-division communication courses, and I also oversee internship and practicum field experiences for our communication majors. EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
I was the education coordinator for Stark County Regional Planning Commission. In this capacity, we partnered with Stark County Schools to provide litter, recycling and “green” education long before it was commonplace.
LIKES MOST ABOUT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
I like the many outstanding resources we offer our students to support their academic and career journey. Also, the diverse mix of traditional and nontraditional students makes the classroom experience even more dynamic. This interaction among the generations truly advances the learning outcome. I work among outstanding colleagues where we collaborate to care for the “whole” student.
ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN EMPLOYER:
I was attracted by Kent State’s ongoing reputation for excellence in education. A Regional Campus allows me to offer the personal attention our students so richly deserve. Additionally, my father, sister, two brothers and several nieces are Kent State alumni.
