Students and faculty of 麻豆传媒 at Trumbull鈥檚 nursing program began the school year with eight upgraded hospital beds thanks to Trumbull Memorial Hospital. The donation marks a significant improvement for the campus nursing lab.
鈥淲e are truly appreciative of Trumbull Memorial Hospital鈥檚 generous support,鈥 says Kathy Dwinnells, Kent State Trumbull nursing program coordinator. 鈥淭hese newer beds more closely resemble what future nurses will encounter in today鈥檚 hospitals.鈥
John Walsh, Trumbull Memorial Hospital鈥檚 chief executive officer, says the donation was made possible through the hospital鈥檚 equipment upgrade program.
鈥淢any of Kent State Trumbull鈥檚 nursing students train at Trumbull Memorial and go on to become our employees,鈥 Walsh says. 鈥淚f we can provide equipment that enhances their education, then it鈥檚 a win-win for both organizations.鈥
Kent State Trumbull currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. This four-year degree can be fully completed at Kent State Trumbull, with students fulfilling their clinical requirements at local healthcare facilities.
