Â鶹´«Ã½ is a proud partner in the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) General Education Mobile (GEM) program. As part of the GEM program, active duty airmen and guardians are able to take up to 15 credits toward their CCAF Associate of Applied Science degree general education requirements at Â鶹´«Ã½.

All courses listed below are offered in an entirely online format, so airmen and guardians can take classes no matter where they are stationed, as long as there is a reliable internet connection. As a regionally accredited institution, your classes are also eligible to transfer to other colleges and universities.

Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s GEM Plan

CCAF requires courses from 5 general education areas which are applicable toward your CCAF degree:

• Oral Communication*
• Written Communication*
• Mathematics
• Social Sciences
• Humanities

Kent State offers the following classes online, which are applicable toward your CCAF degree.

*Note: CCAF AAS students enrolled in the 2017-2024 CCAF General Catalog have two options to complete the 6 semester hours (SH) communications requirement:

• Option 1 - complete 3SH of written communication and 3SH of oral communication courses.
• Option 2 - complete 6SH of non-duplicative written communication courses.

Â鶹´«Ã½ is also a proud partner in the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC). As part of the AU-ABC program, DAF members with associate in applied science degrees from CCAF can apply their credit toward Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS), maximizing the application of military career education and training.
