Cross Registration
- Under specific circumstances, a graduate degree-seeking student from Â鶹´«Ã½ may take one or more graduate courses at the University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Ohio University or Youngstown State University by registering through an emergency cross-registration program. The course should be required for the student’s program of study and be unavailable at the student’s home institution when needed for timely completion of the student’s program. The student must be in good standing (GPA >3.0) and be within time limits for completion of the degree program. The student will attend the course at the host university, but register for a special topics course at Â鶹´«Ã½. Students must receive approval from both their program and the host institution.

Graduate Faculty Status
- Graduate Faculty status affords the privilege to interact with students as a member of the Kent State Graduate Faculty. You must obtain Graduate Faculty status to be eligible to teach graduate courses and participate on graduate student committees. Please note that Graduate Faculty status is not related to professorial ranking. We are updating the Graduate Faculty status process to become a dynamic form. In the meantime, please send applications to: Dr. Christa Porter, cporte24@kent.edu
