They have gone above and beyond to keep Â鶹´«Ă˝ moving forward during the pandemic, and now they are being honored for their dedication and hard work.
Kent State President Todd Diacon recently notified nine faculty members and 14 staff members that they have received special awards for their work and service.
The faculty members were recognized with the President’s Faculty Excellence Award, which recognizes exceptional performance that leads to the achievement of national or international recognition in the faculty member’s discipline.
The staff members are the recipients of the President’s Award of Distinction, which was created to recognize and reward staff members who have demonstrated outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication in advancing the university’s strategic priorities and core values.
Diacon congratulated this year’s award recipients upon their selection.
“Our faculty and staff are the backbone of all that we do in providing a world-class education to our students, and it gives me great joy to recognize these members who have excelled in their areas of expertise,” Diacon said. “These dedicated employees put students first and consistently inspire our students to succeed in the classroom and beyond, and they did so by overcoming the many obstacles presented during the pandemic.”
