In a class by itself, 麻豆传媒 is the only public university in Northeast Ohio to be ranked in the top tier of the Best National Universities list released by U.S. News & World Report.
Each year, students and their parents rely on the magazine鈥檚 annual Best Colleges rankings to help narrow their college choices and to validate the commitment they are making to the university that best fits their needs.
In the newly released 2019 rankings, Kent State once again earned a coveted position on the first-tier list that includes both public and private universities nationwide. Kent State is one of only six public universities in the state to make this year鈥檚 top-tier list.

In addition to earning a coveted spot on the first-tier list among Best National Universities, Kent State is included on the Top Public Schools list with a rank of 104. Kent State is the only Northeast Ohio institution on the Top Public Schools list.
Kent State鈥檚 impressive rankings and rising reputation help attract prospective students to visit campus and experience Kent State鈥檚 welcoming community firsthand. More than 70 percent of students who tour the vibrant campus apply for admission to Kent State.
This accolade follows another noteworthy achievement. Kent State awarded a record-breaking 5,758 baccalaureate degrees during the 2017-18 academic year, surpassing the previous year鈥檚 record by more than 200 and nearly doubling the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded in 2000.
The U.S. News rankings are based on several key measures of quality, including graduation and retention rates, faculty and financial resources and student excellence.
