Kent State is the highest-ranking public university in Northern Ohio on the Top Public Schools and Best National Universities lists in the 2021 US News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. The university also placed among the top 100 public universities in the nation on the Best Undergraduate Business Programs list and ranked 101 among public universities in the nation on the Top Performers on Social Mobility list, which measures how well schools graduate students who received federal Pell Grants.
