IN A FLASH: Turkmen on Risman

Turkmen musicians and dancers on Risman Plaza

Turkmen culture came to Kent State this week when members of a visiting delegation from Turkmenistan played traditional music while dancers performed on Risman Plaza.

As part of Kent State's worldwide effort to promote education as the path to global understanding, the university has entered into an agreement with the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education to explore the possibility of creating an educational partnership with several of the country's national institutes of higher learning. The Turkmen delegation came to Kent State to sign a memorandum of understanding.
