Faculty and staff with group and supplemental life insurance policies through Securian Financial, who reached milestone years of age 65, 70, and 75 in 2022, should have received notice of plan reductions. These were sent via mail to your permanent home address.
The notice included a conversion enrollment form, which must be postmarked by March 24, 2023. The form may also be submitted via email to lifebenefits@securian.com.
The original amount of your life insurance is three (3) times your base annual earnings, rounded to the next highest $1,000. This amount may not exceed $225,000 and may not be less than $5,000. Because reductions occur when reaching a milestone year of age, there is an option to convert individual plans within 31 days.
