CPM Associate Professor Dr. Scott Spencer Appointed President of the Board of Directors for the American College of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Scott Spencer, associate professor in the Division of Surgery and Biomechanics, and an alumnus of the former Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine class of 1987, has been named the new president of the board of directors for the American College of Podiatric Medicine (ACPM).
Founded in the late 1940s as the American College of Foot Orthopedists, ACPM enhances and advocates for the practice of podiatric medicine by providing innovative education and promoting podiatric physicians in public health and welfare. With a membership of approximately 1,000 doctors and 450 student doctors, ACPM is the only specialty organization affiliated with the American Podiatric Medical Association, and represents the full scope of medical, orthopedic and biomechanical aspects of podiatric practice.
Dr. Spencer is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Spencer also currently serves as the interim director of Clinic Operations for CPM’s teaching facility at the Cleveland Foot & Ankle Clinic.
