Please be advised that the Kent Campus date was misprinted on the Open Enrollment postcard that was sent to benefits-eligible employees. The information below is correct and up to date.
Don’t forget that the Open Enrollment period for the 2023 plan year will be Oct. 17 at 8 a.m. to Nov. 4 at 4:59 p.m. Open Enrollment is the only time during the year when you can change your benefits (except for a qualifying event).
During Open Enrollment, Kent State employees can do the following:
- Enroll in, change or drop medical, dental or vision plans.
- Add or remove eligible dependents.
- Enroll or renew enrollment in a Health Savings Account.
- Enroll or continue enrollment in a Flexible Spending Account.
- Enroll or continue enrollment in the Opt-Out Incentive plan.
- Enroll in or make changes to your voluntary life insurance.
In addition, plan to attend your campus’ Open Enrollment 2023 Fair. The fair is an opportunity to speak directly to representatives from Kent State’s healthcare providers, the Employee Benefits team, the Employee Wellness team and other partners. Attendees can register ahead of time for flu shots at the fair clinic, and door prizes will be raffled off to a few lucky participants.
The Kent Campus Fair will be held Oct. 19, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Click here to see when the Open Enrollment Fair will be coming to your regional campus.
To ensure a smooth Open Enrollment process, make sure your permanent mailing address, phone number and life insurance beneficiaries are up to date. Contact the Employee Benefits office for questions or assistance at benefits@kent.edu or 330-672-3107.
