Strengthen Your Resilience with IMPACT Solutions

Building our resilience can help us learn to deal with life's challenges more effectively. Take advantage of the self-paced resiliency resources available to you and your family through the IMPACT Solutions Employee Assistance Program, including the Resilience Journey and the Resiliency Skills Training Series. Both offerings are available to all full and part time Kent State employees, plus dependents, household members and parents/parents-in-law. For full time, benefits eligible faculty and staff participating in the Wellness Your Way Rewards Program, these offerings are eligible for Tier 2 points. Read on to learn how to access these resources and earn points while you're at it!

RESILIENCE JOURNEY

Do you know your purpose in life? What you value? What makes you the happiest? This interactive program will take you on an enlightening journey that will open your eyes to your life's purpose while teaching you about the five core components of resilience: purpose, self-reliance, perseverance, balance, and being your own best friend. To get started, login to the  with username: KENT. Click on the Resilience tile to access the Resilience Journey. The "journey" takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and does not need to be completed in one sitting. You must create an account on the IMPACT website to participate. Resiliency is the "vaccine" against the adverse effects of stress, and research has shown that anyone can learn to be more resilient.When you learn and practice skills that help strengthen resilience, you can not only use the best skill for the issue, but you also lower your overall stress level and provide yourself better recovery time, which is key for lowering the adverse impacts of stress.The Resiliency Skills Training Series can be found in the Stress Less Center tile on the .
