What is the date for the 20-Year Club Service Award Program?

The 20-Year Service Award Program will be held on Tuesday, May 24.

The awards program is an annual event established in 1966 to honor classified and unclassified employees who have dedicated 20 years of continuous service to �鶹��ý.

Each year, friends, family and co-workers join in honoring inductees at an awards dinner. Upon reaching their 20-year milestone, employees may select either a chair for home or office, or a bench or a tree to be placed on campus in their honor.

During the awards program, employees celebrating other service milestones (i.e. 5, 10, 15, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service) also are recognized. See photos of last year's award presentation here.

2024-2025 December/January Holiday Schedule

�鶹��ý's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.

Religious and Spiritual Accommodations Allow Students Time to Celebrate Other Religious Holidays

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, �鶹��ý created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
