Harun is a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) and an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the Â鶹´«Ã½. He has more than ten years of experience in research, teaching, and advocacy in governance and politics. Harun served under the United State Institute of Peace (USIP) as its Bangladesh Country Project Manager. He also worked for the International Republican Institute (IRI), BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University in Bangladesh. In 2016, he served as a core team member of the National Governance Assessment Framework under the Governance Innovation Unit of the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh and the UNDP Bangladesh office to develop governance indicators in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At Â鶹´«Ã½, Harun teaches comparative politics, world politics, and conflict management. He also taught courses on governance and development at the BRAC University in Bangladesh.
