Dear Â鶹´«Ã½ Staff,
I trust the summer has brought you opportunities for rejuvenating your spirit, spending time with your family and friends, and pursuing travel or other favorite pastimes. Now, as we approach the start of the fall semester, I look forward to seeing everyone back on our campuses to do what we do best: provide in-person, world-class educational opportunities for our students.
I am grateful to work alongside all of you. The award-winning support you provide creates a genuine sense of home for our students. You are why Kent State produces successful graduates who make a difference in our world.
To that end, I am happy to announce that all eligible, non-represented staff will receive a 3% pay raise beginning with the payroll period that includes Oct. 1. This is, I know, one of the best ways to show appreciation for all that you do.
We will be celebrating you in the upcoming weeks through our Blue, Gold and Grateful events. On the Kent Campus, join us on Monday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Risman Plaza for a free lunch at our Blue and Gold Out Staff Appreciation Cookout. Then, come over to the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on Friday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. to grab a free cookie and watch our volleyball team practice for the upcoming season. There are more events to come on our campuses, so be on the lookout for announcements from campus deans and the Office of University Events and Protocol.
Again, thank you for all you do to make our students successful, and I look forward to seeing you on our campuses.
Sincerely,
Todd Diacon
President
