The E-Cycle Drive at 鶹ý offers an opportunity for students, staff, faculty and members of the Kent community to responsibly and sustainably recycle unwanted electronics.
Drop-off days are March 6, 12 and 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The receiving station is located behind the 鶹ý Surplus Store at 414 E. Main St, in the R-17 Parking Lot between S. Willow St. and S. Lincoln St. The E-Cycle Drive is hosted by Kent State's Office of Sustainability, University Facilities Management and Receiving and Distribution Services.
Accepted electronics include flat screen TVs, personal computers, laptop computers, servers and storage devices, monitors (CRT, LCD), iPads and tablets, docking stations, floppy drives, DVD/CD burners, DVD players, VCRSs, game consoles, digital cameras, cellular phones, circuit boards, scanners, copiers, printers, cables, wires, extension cords, , string lights, network and telecom equipment and small kitchen appliances.
Microwaves are accepted, but kitchen appliances larger than a microwave are NOT accepted at the E-Cycle Drive.
Materials are recycled through Infinite Electronics Recycling LLC, an R2-certified recycler.
