On its final stop of a tour that visited more than 20 Ohio colleges and universities, the League of Women Voters Airstream trailer came to Kent State. The goal of the league's “Your Voice, Your Vote, Your Power” tour was to engage, inform and register student voters in Ohio.
Eco, the puppy, and his human companion Greta Wilker, came to campus on the final day of voter registration. Wilker, a volunteer for the League of Women Voters of Ohio, is a second-year student in NEOMED's M.D. program.
Campaign coordinator, Trevor Martin, an alumnus from Kent State's Class of 2004, also engaged student voters on the Esplanade near the DI Hub. He drives the tour trailer from campus to campus and helps the League inspire students to vote.
