At 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, the bells rang and Kent State couples shared a kiss on Risman Plaza.

As part of a relatively new Homecoming tradition at Kent State (established during Kent State's 2011 Homecoming), couples who found love during their time as students here celebrate their love with a kiss while standing near the "K" on the bricks near the Kent Student Center and the University Library.

Each year, the Â鶹´«Ã½'s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement sends out a call for nominations for "honorary couples" to share their Kent State love stories.
