IN A FLASH SPECIAL: Students on Safari

All this week, 鈥淚n A Flash鈥 will feature images from the 麻豆传媒 group鈥檚 trip to Rwanda.

Emily Spencer, a senior human development and family science major in Kent State's College of Education, Health and Human Services from North Canton, took part in a wildlife safari at , Central Africa鈥檚 largest protected wetland and refuge for savannah-adapted species in Rwanda.

Spencer is one of seven Kent State students taking part in the Kigali Summer Institute study abroad program in Kigali, Rwanda. This is her first trip outside of the U.S. and she believes that it will help to prepare her for possible service in the Peace Corps.

The park鈥檚 features include woodland areas, swamps, low mountains and savannah. Visitors can see zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles and hundreds of bird species.
