It's E-Cycling Month at Kent State

Community members can drop off anything with an electronic component for four Wednesdays in March.

2023 E-Cycle Drive dates are March 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Â鶹´«Ã½ R-17 parking lot, located near the Wick Poetry Center and the John Elliot Center for Architecture and Environmental Design.

Community members from Kent State and the city of Kent can recycle used electronics through Infinite Electronics Recycling LLC, an R2 certified recycler, where materials are handled in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

This drive is part of the university’s Campus Race to Zero Waste which is an institutional competition and benchmarking tool. Over 300 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada compete every year in recycling the most material and producing the least amount of waste.

Kent State's Office of Sustainability reminds Flashes that everyone on the Kent Campus is a participant in the Campus Race to Zero Waste and invites people who want to learn more to follow the Office of Sustainability on social media for recycling tips and weekly updates.
