Students lined up to get a free beanie and take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage at Flash Activities Board’s Fall Fest on Wednesday, October 11. With hot apple cider and donuts in hand, students either played cornhole or sat on hay while listening to the live calypso music.
Flash Activities Board holds the Fall Fest event every year to provide students with a place to celebrate the autumn season and let that college stress fall away.
“This is a lot more people than we had last year, I think it's because of the great weather,” said Jillian Mt. Castle, Flash Activities Board president. “We’ve had about double the amount that we did last year.”
The weather was perfect enough for friends to either sit around with snacks or get cozy around the fire and roast marshmallows.
As students waited for their free beanie, they could watch the ongoing cornhole game and interact with the many dogs playing in the field.
Students also could line up for the opportunity to grab a prop and strike a pose for the photo booth to remember the fun they had at Fall Fest.
Those in attendance on Wednesday were in for a “wonder-Fall” surprise.
“Fellow students can follow us ,” Mt. Castle said, “that is where you can keep up with all our upcoming events.”
