Alicia Andreani Edwards
Biography
Alicia Andreani Edwards is originally from northeast Ohio, and she has gotten the chance to also live in Illinois, Virginia, West Virginia, and France (in college)! Alicia is passionate about helping students achieve their educational goals. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Position
Alicia advises Ohio 7th-12th graders who have been admitted to the College Credit Plus program through the Kent campus. She helps our CCP students navigate course selection, future degree planning, CCP legislation, and campus resources, and acts as a resource as they figure out how their CCP courses will affect their progress toward their high school diploma. Alicia offers online advising appointments and conducts advising events at area high schools.
Experience
Alicia began her career in higher education teaching French and advising for the study abroad program at the University of Mount Union. From there, she became a Student Affairs Coordinator for the College of Science at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Alicia eventually became the Retention Specialist for the College of Science, helping struggling students create academic success plans and access campus resources. Her most recent position before arriving at Kent State was as an academic advisor for the College of STEM at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. She now advises for the College Credit Plus program at Â鶹´«Ã½.
