Pete Evangelista
Biography
Pete Evangelista is an expert Project, Program, and Portfolio Manager. He has been managing high-impact and high-visibility projects since the early 90’s. In addition to leading projects, Evangelista provides leadership in establishing and improving Project/Program/Portfolio Management processes and toolsets. He also coaches and mentors Project Managers and their leadership, as well as plays the role of Project Doctor to get “sick” projects back to health.
Evangelista conducts Project Management professional development programs for Kent State’s public, open enrollment offerings and has delivered training for over 50 organizations, from Fortune 100 companies to much smaller organizations. Evangelista’s training topics range from project management structure to leadership skills to computer tool training. Evangelista’s program participants comment that his style, practical examples and exercises, bring concepts to life in a way that can be applied immediately to their work. He facilitate engaging programs that rely on his understanding of both the structural and human sides of running projects and business operations.
Evangelista holds a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University. He is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM), and formerly an Authorized Training Partner (ATP). In addition to leading local consulting organizations, he has been a Managing Director at one of the “Big 5” consulting firms. Evangelista has been a college adjunct faculty member, teaching Project Management at the graduate (MBA) and undergraduate levels at Baldwin Wallace University and Ursuline College.
