Kent, Ohio — The Kent Blossom Music Festival, an educational partnership between 鶹ý, The Cleveland Orchestra and Blossom Music Center, returns for its 55th season from July 2 through August 6.
The presenting partner of the Kent Blossom Music Festival 2023 Season is the , which was established in 1937 with the primary purpose of supporting the musical arts in the Greater Cleveland area. “The Kulas Foundation is thrilled to present the 55th Kent Blossom Music Festival season,” said Nancy McCann, President of the Kulas Foundation. “We are confident that our support of this program will continue to positively impact our community, showcase remarkable talent, and inspire future generations of classical musicians.”
Kent Blossom Music Festival will host four faculty concerts featuring more than 15 outstanding professional musicians, 11 young artist concerts featuring 43 student participants from all over the world, and a side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. All faculty concerts will be ticketed and take place in 鶹ý Glauser School of Music’s Ludwig Recital Hall in Kent.

The Faculty Concert Series begins Wed., July 5 at 7:30 p.m. featuring virtuoso wind quintet . The second concert showcasing Visiting Artists pianist , violinist , and members of The Cleveland Orchestra will be on Wed., July 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Festival’s third concert welcomes a Northeast Ohio favorite, the , to the Ludwig Recital Hall Wed., July 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Concluding the 2023 Faculty Concert Series will be Festival faculty Jessica Sindell, assistant principal flute of The Cleveland Orchestra flute, Joela Jones, piano, and Richard Weiss, first assistant principal cello of The Cleveland Orchestra. Jessica, Joela and Richard are alumni of the festival and their concert will be on Wed., August 2 at 7:30pm. The Young Artist Concert Series will present concerts throughout Northeast Ohio. These concerts will take place during the weekends of July 14-16 and July 27-30 at various venues including: the Hudson Library and Historical Society; Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson; Mixon Hall in Cleveland; Judson Senior Living’s South Franklin Circle in Chagrin Falls; and Ludwig Recital Hall in Kent.
Our season ends with a concert at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on Sat., Aug. 5 with the Kent Blossom Chamber Orchestra performing at 6 p.m. conducted by Assistant Conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra, Daniel Reith, and a side-by-side concert on-stage with The Cleveland Orchestra at 7 p.m. led by guest conductor, David Robertson.
