Pre-Pharmacy & Pre-Medicine Programs

Pre-pharmacy and Pre-medicine study may be completed at Â鶹´«Ã½ by taking basic academic courses through the College of Arts and Sciences.

Students are required to complete a primary major. Students often choose to complete the primary major in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.

Pre-Pharmacy Program for NEOMED

The Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown is home to the College of Pharmacy, in addition to the College of Medicine. The College offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. It has a consortial relationship with four Northeastern Ohio public universities: Kent State, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, and Akron Universities. Admissions criteria include completion of a two- or three-year pre-pharmacy program at an accredited university as well as satisfactory scores on the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT).
