This is Me
About Me
I joined Kent State on the first day of classes in 2017 after serving eight years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, where I was known as the Chief Storyteller in the Community Relations Department. I began working at the Fed after a 25-year career as a newspaper reporter, 14 of which I spent at The Plain Dealer, where I covered government, schools, social services and minority affairs, among many other topics. I've also worked at newspapers in Kansas City, Belleville, Illinois, and Arlington Texas. I am married to Noral Copeland and have two daughters Camille and Amber. Camille is a 2024 graduate of Kent State and Noral is a student here.
What I Love About Kent State
I admire Kent State's beautiful campus and I am proud to work at an organization that survived a history-making tragedy by teaching people the importance of peace and conflict resolution.
