The campus is safe; Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Police Services was one of the first nationally accredited law enforcement agencies in Ohio and the second university police department in the United States to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

Kent State’s state-of-the-art Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) is the place to go for swimming, exercise equipment, free weights, racquetball, basketball and more. In the spring, the SRWC also offers canoes and kayaks for Cuyahoga River excursions.

Meet with Your Academic Advisor
Freshman and sophomore students are required to meet with an advisor once per semester. An advisor can help you stay on track with your major, by reviewing and updating your GPS profile. An advisor will also help you plan for future coursework.

If you have not yet declared a major by the time you’ve accumulated 45 credit hours, you’ll need to do so. Meet with your advisor for help developing a personal plan.
