This is Me
About Me
I joined Kent State in 2012 after 20 years as a broadcast journalist, mostly with WKYC (NBC) in Cleveland. Having earned my master's degree in Public Relations from Kent State, I jumped at the chance to join the team here and share stories about the amazing people and activities happening here every day.
What I Love About Kent State
I love that I'm always meeting new people from around the world and I'm always learning something new. I am naturally curious, so being on campus feeds that curiosity every day. It's a wonderful work family and very welcoming community.
Fun Facts
I'm a retired military officer and veteran having served 20 years in the Army and Army National Guard with tours of duty in Iraq and Central America. I also deployed to national emergencies such as Hurricane Katrina and state emergencies such as the Lucasville Prison Riots. I'm also an award-winning professional playwright and a member of the Dramatist Guild.
