Meet Joe Sepesy, a retired educator, Vietnam veteran, and now an inventive game designer, whose journey at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Design Innovation (DI) Hub exemplifies the transformative power of community, creativity, and cutting-edge resources.

Nicholas Cindrich has been with Design Innovation longer than most staff have worked here.

Cindrich joined as a DI Fellow in spring 2021 and he added crew member to his resume shortly after in the fall. A senior mechatronics engineering technology major, he credits DI with expanding his breadth as an engineer.

The Design Innovation initiative is pleased to welcome the second cohort of the Faculty Fellows program. Based in the DI Hub, the program launched in 2022 to create space for faculty members from any field to devote a portion of their teaching, research and scholarly focus to collaborative, cross-disciplinary projects and DI co-teaching experiences for an entire academic year.

The Design Innovation (DI) collaborator network will grow this semester as the DI Hub and its makerspaces open to the public through a new community membership. 

X_Realm, a new extended reality lab located in the DI HUB, is set to become Design Innovation’s newest space in the spring 2023 semester.

Excitement buzzed from the MuseLab in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Design Innovation Hub as students learned firsthand about sustainability opportunities in the fashion industry.
