M.Ed. Program in Research, Measurement & Statistics

Our master’s degree program is oriented to developing educators and specialists in the areas of assessment, measurement, research design, and program evaluation. The program serves teachers and administrators seeking applied measurement, research, and evaluation skills for use in PK-12 and higher education, as well as professionals seeking careers in the areas of evaluation, research, and psychometrics.

The program offers flexibility in course offerings such that individualized plans of study can be built around the needs and career plans of each student. Additionally, students may take coursework in the program in a variety of ways:

  • 100% online - For 2017, Kent State is nationally ranked at by U.S. News & World Report.
  • predominantly face-to-face
  • a combination of online and face-to-face courses

Ph.D. Program in Research, Measurement & Statistics

Our doctoral program seeks to develop specialists in a variety of research approaches and applications, statistical analyses, program evaluation, and measurement/psychometrics. Our doctoral students gain the expertise to teach courses at the college level, provide leadership in the conduct of research studies, and serve as consultants in research methodology and data analysis in education, industry, and government.

Graduates of our doctoral program have excelled in the following roles:
