School Psychology Accreditation


Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s School Psychology, Ph.D. program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) through 2028. The Ph.D. and Ed.S. degree programs are also approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

is an accrediting agency for doctoral programs, internship programs, and postdoctoral residency programs in psychology. Here at Kent State, APA accredits the School Psychology, Ph.D. program on a seven-year cycle. APA also accredits KSU’s Clinical Psychology program, which is in the College of Arts and Sciences.

 - which is a specialized professional association - conducts program reviews based on the NASP standards. NASP approval is part of the accreditation process for educator preparation programs. Kent State's educator preparation programs have been continuously accredited by NCATE/CAEP since 1957.
