The 鶹ý Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting Wednesday, Sept. 12. The Board is scheduled to convene at 2 p.m. in the George Urban Board of Trustees Conference Room, which is located on the second floor of University Library.
Trustees will retire into executive session from 8-10 a.m. in the Urban Conference Room to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.”
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Monday, Sept. 10, is World Suicide Prevention Day.
University Health Services at 鶹ý will hold a Mental Health Festival on Sept. 11 from 2-5 p.m. on Risman Plaza. Students will have an opportunity to interact and collect information on the mental health resources that Kent State offers. They can enjoy free refreshments and wellness-based activities such as Zumba and yoga.
University College and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host 鶹ý's Diversity and Scholarship Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the 鶹ý Hotel and Conference Center.

Online midterm grading for all fall 2018 lower-division undergraduate courses (levels 00000, 10000, 20000) meeting in the full term (Aug. 23, 2018, through Dec. 9, 2018) begins Sept. 13 via FlashFAST. Please remember that midterm grading applies ONLY to courses that meet for the full semester.
The 鶹ý Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 鶹ý in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
