Kiersten F. Latham, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been named to the board of the International Committee on Training of Personnel (ICTOP) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

Peter C. Kratcoski Sr., Department of Sociology at 麻豆传媒 at Stark, authored 鈥淧olicing: Continuity and Change,鈥 a section of the book Global Issues in Contemporary Policing. The work focuses on global issues in policing, including those pertaining to specialization, education and training, leadership, corruption, discrimination and response to catastrophic events such as natural disasters and terrorism.
At the start of each semester, 麻豆传媒 sees an influx of new life coming to campus in the form of new students. Thanks to University Facilities Management, new life is always coming to campus in the form of new greenery, specifically new trees.

The 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆传媒 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
