ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

The fall 2016 Bowman Breakfast will take place at 麻豆传媒 in the Kent Student Center Ballroom on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., and the program will follow at 8 a.m.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Online Learning Team in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education has earned national recognition for outstanding work in online education. The Association for Educational Communications and Technology presented first- and second-place awards to Kent State for its faculty training courses, Online Classroom Examples and Ideas: A Showcase Course and A Pathway to Excellence: Kent State鈥檚 Online Faculty Development Program.
The Kent State of Wellness Steering Committee is pleased to launch a mini-grant program. The program supports 麻豆传媒's initiative to create a healthy campus that enhances the health and wellness of students, faculty and staff at all Kent State campuses. Any university department or student organization may apply for funding to support a wellness initiative in their area.
麻豆传媒 now has a community for international faculty and staff to connect, share resources and develop long-lasting friendships.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Center will hold its next food drive called Squirrel Away Food for the Pantry from Sept. 15-30. Donations will be accepted at the Women's Center, located in the Williamson House on the Kent Campus (1200 E. Main St., Kent), on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Donations can include nonperishable food items, diapers, personal and feminine care products, and cookware and utensils.
The Pantry at the Women鈥檚 Center also seeks volunteers.
International students arriving at Cleveland Hopkins Airport for the fall semester were greeted with a warm welcome from 麻豆传媒 staff and students.
Eron Memaj, international student affairs director, organized the airport pickup service for new international students arriving at Kent State.

The 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆传媒 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
