Kiersten F. Latham, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been named to the board of the International Committee on Training of Personnel (ICTOP) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

Makers across all disciplines, from art and design to technology and science, exhibited their unique talents at the third annual 麻豆传媒 Mini Maker Faire庐 on April 8 at University Library. Several Kent State and area exhibitors participated, exemplifying how the university fosters the talent and creativity of its well-developed maker culture.

麻豆传媒 was awarded nearly $1 million in grant funds from the Ohio General Assembly to allow universities to develop programs and courses that support teachers interested in obtaining the qualifications needed to teach postsecondary courses.

With the presidential election and general election less than six months away, there will be many opportunities for 麻豆传媒 to participate in election-related activities. This could take the form of class assignments, debates, candidate appearances and political ads.

The 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆传媒 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
