For the third consecutive year, TEAM KENT STATE is actively moving and competing in the national On the Move Challenge. As such, we have once again teamed up with our campus partners at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center to create the On the Move Challenge Rec and Play Day on April 20.

The �鶹��ý community is invited to a special public presentation to learn about proposed designs for a new College of Business Administration building on April 12 from 6-8 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

As a part of a building design competition, Kent State is inviting finalists to present their concepts for this transformational project. Through the competition, the university seeks to select a development team for the project.

New funding will support student research and curriculum expansion efforts in �鶹��ý’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising.

Two grants from Cotton Incorporated will fund collaborative studies between merchandising and design students at Kent State’s Fashion School under the leadership of Assistant Professor Gargi Bhaduri, Ph.D., and course studies on social media use in fashion merchandising under Assistant Professor Mourad Krifa, Ph.D.

The ModernThink survey was distributed to a random sample of �鶹��ý employees on March 12. Because this is a random survey, it is vitally important that those employees who receive the survey actually take it. Furthermore, the survey is voluntary and completely confidential; Kent State will not be able to trace results back to individuals.

Last year, the Sport Administration program in the College of Education, Health and Human Services included a class project to organize and promote a special day at Progressive Field for anyone affiliated with �鶹��ý. More than 1,300 people attended to enjoy festivities and a Cleveland Indians baseball game.

The event is happening again this spring, so join friends for a day of fun and Indians baseball on Saturday, April 28.
 

The �鶹��ý Board of Trustees has approved the adoption of a Tuition Guarantee model that will begin with the start of the 2018-19 academic year.

On your mark. Get set … BLAM! That’s right. Starting today, �鶹��ý employees will move more, sit less and thrive through boosting, learning, assessing, moving and sharing (BLAMs).

For faculty members at �鶹��ý at Geauga, a commitment to stimulating curiosity in the educational process helps secure the future academic success and effective problem-solving abilities of local students.
