To request an evaluation of your eligibility for Ohio’s One-Year-Option articulation policy, you will need to first gather all credentials needed to verify your eligibility for credit. Begin by searching for your One-Year Option approved program here:
On that page, you will find links to each program pathway that take you to an informational PDF document. The required credential will be listed under the section “Recommendation” within that document. You will need a digital copy of the industry-recognized credential as well as your transcript from the approved Ohio Technical Center (also referred to as an "OTC transcript") if not already submitted with your admissions application. These documents will be uploaded to the form below.
If approved, technical credit is awarded as non-course-specific credit and can be applied toward the technical requirement of an Associate of Technical Study (ATS) degree. The credit cannot be applied to any other degree. Once Kent State has approved the credit, the student will receive an email confirmation through their kent.edu email.
